Bentley Raceway and Cable Management CONNECT Edition Help

Cable Routing - Raceway Weight Settings

Displays when you select the Cable Routing > Cable Weight Settings tab from the Options dialog. This lets you define cable weight limits for specific raceway cable systems. The default weight limit is set to 100000 lbs (if working with imperial units). This weight is measured per 1000 ft of cable.

In the grid, you can define overwrites for specific raceway systems which will be used in place of the default.

SettingDescription
Add Click to add a new overwrite record. The overwrite record will allow you to define the cable weight limitation for a specific type of raceway system which will overwrite the default weight limitation. By default, the name of the record will be Overwrite with a sequenced number appended to it (Overwrite 1, Overwrite 2 etc.) Click in the name value field to type in a more descriptive name if desired.
Delete Deletes the currently selected overwrite record.
Overwrite Properties In the Properties column, click the arrow icon next to Name to expand the properties of the overwrite record.
  • Weight: Enter a weight limit into the field. This number represents lbs/1000ft (if working in imperial units) but is actually defining the weight limit per ft of raceway.
  • Raceway Systems: If you click in the value fields of either the Raceway Systems, Catalog, or Variant fields and click the Browse icon, the Raceways Property Manager dialog displays where you can select the values for those fields.

Once you have defined the values in the Raceways Property Manager dialog and applied the changes, the new values will be displayed in the fields.

  • Voltage Level: Select the Voltage Level from the list of predefined types.
OK Saves the changes to the Options dialog and closes it.
Cancel Closes the Options dialog without saving the changes. If the changes have not been saved, you will be prompted to do so.
Apply Applies the changes made to the Options dialog while keeping it open.
